About Me

About Me

Born in 1966 in Ankara, I completed my primary, secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College (’83). In the same year, I entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. In line with my desire to closely follow the developments in medicine and the western world, which started in my student years, I did an internship in Orthopedics at Birmingham Accident Hospital in 1985 and in Cardiovascular Surgery at Birmingham Queen Elisabeth Hospital and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1989.

In 1990, I started my residency in obstetrics at Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital. I did my thesis in the field of High Risk Pregnancies (perinatology), which is my special interest. I presented my randomized prospective study on “Use of steroids and antibiotics in early rupture of membranes” in 4 presentations at the World Perinatology Congress in Jerusalem.
